I continued down the coast to San Diego and as far as the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge next to the border with Mexico. If I had to live in a large metropolitan area, San Diego would probably be my first choice: mild climate, beautiful architecture, lovely and plentiful green spaces.
