The 7th was a long travel day to Boquete in far western Panama, near the Costa Rican border.
Boquete is a small, artsy, mountain town popular with U.S. expatriates.

We birded a couple of resorts, Boquete Tree Trek Mountain Resort, Finca Lérida Hotel and Coffee Farm; as well as Casa Sabrewing, Los Ladrillos, and two trails; Sendero Los Questzales and Sendero Culebra.
Rainy mornings affected our birding a bit…
… but afternoons were clear and beautiful.
It is an active stratovolcano.
